How To Uninstall python-binaryornot On Debian 8

To uninstall python-binaryornot just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just python-binaryornot

check if a file is binary or text (Python 2 module)Debian 8.0python0.3.0-1
sudo apt-get remove python-binaryornot

This will remove just the python-binaryornot package itself.

Uninstall python-binaryornot and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove python-binaryornot

This will remove the python-binaryornot package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for python-binaryornot then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge python-binaryornot

Or similarly, like this python-binaryornot

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove python-binaryornot
