How To Uninstall python-dnspython On Debian 8

To uninstall python-dnspython just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just python-dnspython

DNS toolkit for PythonDebian 8.0python1.12.0-1
sudo apt-get remove python-dnspython

This will remove just the python-dnspython package itself.

Uninstall python-dnspython and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove python-dnspython

This will remove the python-dnspython package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for python-dnspython then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge python-dnspython

Or similarly, like this python-dnspython

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove python-dnspython
