How To Uninstall python-doit On Debian 8

To uninstall python-doit just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just python-doit

Automation tool to execute any kind of task in a build-tools fashionDebian 8.0python0.25.0-2
sudo apt-get remove python-doit

This will remove just the python-doit package itself.

Uninstall python-doit and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove python-doit

This will remove the python-doit package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for python-doit then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge python-doit

Or similarly, like this python-doit

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove python-doit
