How To Uninstall python-elementtidy On Debian 8

To uninstall python-elementtidy just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just python-elementtidy

An HTML tree builder for ElementTree based on TidyDebian 8.0python1.0-7+b2
sudo apt-get remove python-elementtidy

This will remove just the python-elementtidy package itself.

Uninstall python-elementtidy and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove python-elementtidy

This will remove the python-elementtidy package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for python-elementtidy then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge python-elementtidy

Or similarly, like this python-elementtidy

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove python-elementtidy
