How To Uninstall python-extractor On Debian 8

To uninstall python-extractor just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just python-extractor

extracts meta-data from files of arbitrary type (Python bindings)Debian 8.0python1:0.6-4
sudo apt-get remove python-extractor

This will remove just the python-extractor package itself.

Uninstall python-extractor and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove python-extractor

This will remove the python-extractor package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for python-extractor then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge python-extractor

Or similarly, like this python-extractor

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove python-extractor
