How To Uninstall python-fontforge On Debian 8

To uninstall python-fontforge just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just python-fontforge

font editor - Python bindingsDebian 8.0python20120731.b-5+b3
sudo apt-get remove python-fontforge

This will remove just the python-fontforge package itself.

Uninstall python-fontforge and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove python-fontforge

This will remove the python-fontforge package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for python-fontforge then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge python-fontforge

Or similarly, like this python-fontforge

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove python-fontforge
