How To Uninstall python-gmsh On Debian 8

To uninstall python-gmsh just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just python-gmsh

Three-dimensional finite element mesh generator. Python wrapperDebian 8.0python2.8.5+dfsg-1.1+b1
sudo apt-get remove python-gmsh

This will remove just the python-gmsh package itself.

Uninstall python-gmsh and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove python-gmsh

This will remove the python-gmsh package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for python-gmsh then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge python-gmsh

Or similarly, like this python-gmsh

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove python-gmsh
