How To Uninstall python-gps On Debian 8

To uninstall python-gps just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just python-gps

Global Positioning System - Python librariesDebian 8.0python3.11-3
sudo apt-get remove python-gps

This will remove just the python-gps package itself.

Uninstall python-gps and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove python-gps

This will remove the python-gps package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for python-gps then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge python-gps

Or similarly, like this python-gps

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove python-gps
