How To Uninstall python-icinga2 On Debian 8

To uninstall python-icinga2 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just python-icinga2

host and network monitoring system - Python moduleDebian 8.0python2.1.1-1
sudo apt-get remove python-icinga2

This will remove just the python-icinga2 package itself.

Uninstall python-icinga2 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove python-icinga2

This will remove the python-icinga2 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for python-icinga2 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge python-icinga2

Or similarly, like this python-icinga2

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove python-icinga2
