How To Uninstall python-iptcdata On Debian 8

To uninstall python-iptcdata just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just python-iptcdata

Python bindings for the iptcdata libraryDebian 8.0python1.0.4-4
sudo apt-get remove python-iptcdata

This will remove just the python-iptcdata package itself.

Uninstall python-iptcdata and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove python-iptcdata

This will remove the python-iptcdata package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for python-iptcdata then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge python-iptcdata

Or similarly, like this python-iptcdata

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove python-iptcdata
