How To Uninstall python-ipy On Debian 8

To uninstall python-ipy just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just python-ipy

Python module for handling IPv4 and IPv6 addresses and networksDebian 8.0python1:0.81-1
sudo apt-get remove python-ipy

This will remove just the python-ipy package itself.

Uninstall python-ipy and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove python-ipy

This will remove the python-ipy package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for python-ipy then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge python-ipy

Or similarly, like this python-ipy

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove python-ipy
