How To Uninstall python-kivy On Debian 8

To uninstall python-kivy just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just python-kivy

Kivy - Multimedia / Multitouch framework in Python (Python 2)Debian 8.0python1.8.0+dfsg-2.1
sudo apt-get remove python-kivy

This will remove just the python-kivy package itself.

Uninstall python-kivy and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove python-kivy

This will remove the python-kivy package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for python-kivy then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge python-kivy

Or similarly, like this python-kivy

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove python-kivy
