How To Uninstall python-pygetdata On Debian 8

To uninstall python-pygetdata just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just python-pygetdata

library to read/write dirfile data - python bindingsDebian 8.0python0.7.3-6+b2
sudo apt-get remove python-pygetdata

This will remove just the python-pygetdata package itself.

Uninstall python-pygetdata and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove python-pygetdata

This will remove the python-pygetdata package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for python-pygetdata then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge python-pygetdata

Or similarly, like this python-pygetdata

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove python-pygetdata
