How To Uninstall python-socketio On Debian 8

To uninstall python-socketio just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just python-socketio

Socket.IO server based on the gevent pywsgi serverDebian 8.0python0.3.6-2
sudo apt-get remove python-socketio

This will remove just the python-socketio package itself.

Uninstall python-socketio and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove python-socketio

This will remove the python-socketio package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for python-socketio then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge python-socketio

Or similarly, like this python-socketio

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove python-socketio
