How To Uninstall varnish-dbg On Debian 8

To uninstall varnish-dbg just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just varnish-dbg

debugging symbols for varnishDebian 8.0debug4.0.2-1
sudo apt-get remove varnish-dbg

This will remove just the varnish-dbg package itself.

Uninstall varnish-dbg and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove varnish-dbg

This will remove the varnish-dbg package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for varnish-dbg then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge varnish-dbg

Or similarly, like this varnish-dbg

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove varnish-dbg
