How To Uninstall verilog On Debian 8

To uninstall verilog just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just verilog

Icarus verilog compiler (transitional package)Debian 8.0electronics0.9.7-1
sudo apt-get remove verilog

This will remove just the verilog package itself.

Uninstall verilog and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove verilog

This will remove the verilog package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for verilog then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge verilog

Or similarly, like this verilog

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove verilog
