How To Uninstall amd-opencl-icd On Debian 8

To uninstall amd-opencl-icd just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just amd-opencl-icd

non-free AMD OpenCL ICD LoadersDebian 8.0non-free/x111:15.9-4~deb8u2
sudo apt-get remove amd-opencl-icd

This will remove just the amd-opencl-icd package itself.

Uninstall amd-opencl-icd and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove amd-opencl-icd

This will remove the amd-opencl-icd package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for amd-opencl-icd then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge amd-opencl-icd

Or similarly, like this amd-opencl-icd

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove amd-opencl-icd
