How To Uninstall mess-data On Debian 8

To uninstall mess-data just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just mess-data

Data files for the Multi Emulator Super System (MESS)Debian 8.0non-free/games0.154-3.1
sudo apt-get remove mess-data

This will remove just the mess-data package itself.

Uninstall mess-data and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove mess-data

This will remove the mess-data package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for mess-data then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge mess-data

Or similarly, like this mess-data

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove mess-data
