How To Uninstall midisport-firmware On Debian 8

To uninstall midisport-firmware just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just midisport-firmware

Firmware loader for M-Audio's MidiSport devicesDebian 8.0non-free/sound1.2-4
sudo apt-get remove midisport-firmware

This will remove just the midisport-firmware package itself.

Uninstall midisport-firmware and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove midisport-firmware

This will remove the midisport-firmware package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for midisport-firmware then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge midisport-firmware

Or similarly, like this midisport-firmware

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove midisport-firmware
