How To Uninstall netperf On Debian 8

To uninstall netperf just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just netperf

Network performance benchmarkDebian 8.0non-free/net2.6.0-2
sudo apt-get remove netperf

This will remove just the netperf package itself.

Uninstall netperf and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove netperf

This will remove the netperf package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for netperf then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge netperf

Or similarly, like this netperf

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove netperf
