How To Uninstall chromium-widevine On Debian 9

To uninstall chromium-widevine just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just chromium-widevine

sudo apt-get remove chromium-widevine

This will remove just the chromium-widevine package itself.

Uninstall chromium-widevine and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove chromium-widevine

This will remove the chromium-widevine package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for chromium-widevine then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge chromium-widevine

Or similarly, like this chromium-widevine

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove chromium-widevine
