How To Uninstall fdkaac On Debian 9

To uninstall fdkaac just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just fdkaac

command line encoder frontend for libfdk-aacDebian 9.0contrib/sound0.6.3-1
sudo apt-get remove fdkaac

This will remove just the fdkaac package itself.

Uninstall fdkaac and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove fdkaac

This will remove the fdkaac package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for fdkaac then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge fdkaac

Or similarly, like this fdkaac

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove fdkaac
