How To Uninstall festvox-us2 On Debian 9

To uninstall festvox-us2 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just festvox-us2

mbrola-us2 voice support for festivalDebian 9.0contrib/sound1.95-1
sudo apt-get remove festvox-us2

This will remove just the festvox-us2 package itself.

Uninstall festvox-us2 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove festvox-us2

This will remove the festvox-us2 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for festvox-us2 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge festvox-us2

Or similarly, like this festvox-us2

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove festvox-us2
