How To Uninstall libydpdict2-dev On Debian 9

To uninstall libydpdict2-dev just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libydpdict2-dev

library for reading Collins dictionaries - development filesDebian 9.0contrib/libdevel1.0.4-3
sudo apt-get remove libydpdict2-dev

This will remove just the libydpdict2-dev package itself.

Uninstall libydpdict2-dev and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libydpdict2-dev

This will remove the libydpdict2-dev package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libydpdict2-dev then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libydpdict2-dev

Or similarly, like this libydpdict2-dev

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libydpdict2-dev
