How To Uninstall translate-shell On Debian 9

To uninstall translate-shell just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just translate-shell

Google Translate to serve as a command line toolDebian 9.0contrib/misc0.9.5-1
sudo apt-get remove translate-shell

This will remove just the translate-shell package itself.

Uninstall translate-shell and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove translate-shell

This will remove the translate-shell package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for translate-shell then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge translate-shell

Or similarly, like this translate-shell

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove translate-shell
