How To Uninstall 389-console On Debian 9

To uninstall 389-console just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just 389-console

389 Management ConsoleDebian 9.0java1.1.18-2
sudo apt-get remove 389-console

This will remove just the 389-console package itself.

Uninstall 389-console and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove 389-console

This will remove the 389-console package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for 389-console then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge 389-console

Or similarly, like this 389-console

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove 389-console
