How To Uninstall a2jmidid On Debian 9

To uninstall a2jmidid just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just a2jmidid

Daemon for exposing legacy ALSA MIDI in JACK MIDI systemsDebian 9.0sound8~dfsg0-3
sudo apt-get remove a2jmidid

This will remove just the a2jmidid package itself.

Uninstall a2jmidid and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove a2jmidid

This will remove the a2jmidid package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for a2jmidid then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge a2jmidid

Or similarly, like this a2jmidid

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove a2jmidid
