How To Uninstall a56 On Debian 9

To uninstall a56 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just a56

Motorola DSP56001 assemblerDebian 9.0devel1.3+dfsg-8+b1
sudo apt-get remove a56

This will remove just the a56 package itself.

Uninstall a56 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove a56

This will remove the a56 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for a56 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge a56

Or similarly, like this a56

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove a56
