How To Uninstall abook On Debian 9

To uninstall abook just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just abook

text-based ncurses address book applicationDebian 9.0mail0.6.1-1+b1
sudo apt-get remove abook

This will remove just the abook package itself.

Uninstall abook and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove abook

This will remove the abook package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for abook then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge abook

Or similarly, like this abook

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove abook
