How To Uninstall acpica-tools On Debian 9

To uninstall acpica-tools just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just acpica-tools

ACPICA tools for the development and debug of ACPI tablesDebian 9.0devel20160831-1+b1
sudo apt-get remove acpica-tools

This will remove just the acpica-tools package itself.

Uninstall acpica-tools and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove acpica-tools

This will remove the acpica-tools package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for acpica-tools then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge acpica-tools

Or similarly, like this acpica-tools

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove acpica-tools
