How To Uninstall activemq On Debian 9

To uninstall activemq just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just activemq

Java message broker - serverDebian 9.0java5.14.3-3
sudo apt-get remove activemq

This will remove just the activemq package itself.

Uninstall activemq and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove activemq

This will remove the activemq package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for activemq then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge activemq

Or similarly, like this activemq

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove activemq
