How To Uninstall adplay On Debian 9

To uninstall adplay just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just adplay

console-based OPL2 audio playerDebian 9.0sound1.7-2
sudo apt-get remove adplay

This will remove just the adplay package itself.

Uninstall adplay and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove adplay

This will remove the adplay package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for adplay then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge adplay

Or similarly, like this adplay

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove adplay
