How To Uninstall afterstep On Debian 9

To uninstall afterstep just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just afterstep

window manager with the NEXTSTEP look and feelDebian 9.0x112.2.12-9+b1
sudo apt-get remove afterstep

This will remove just the afterstep package itself.

Uninstall afterstep and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove afterstep

This will remove the afterstep package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for afterstep then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge afterstep

Or similarly, like this afterstep

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove afterstep
