How To Uninstall ale On Debian 9

To uninstall ale just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ale

synthetic capture engine and rendererDebian 9.0graphics0.9.0.3-3
sudo apt-get remove ale

This will remove just the ale package itself.

Uninstall ale and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ale

This will remove the ale package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ale then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ale

Or similarly, like this ale

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ale
