How To Uninstall alex On Debian 9

To uninstall alex just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just alex

lexical analyser generator for HaskellDebian 9.0haskell3.1.7-4
sudo apt-get remove alex

This will remove just the alex package itself.

Uninstall alex and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove alex

This will remove the alex package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for alex then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge alex

Or similarly, like this alex

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove alex
