How To Uninstall alien On Debian 9

To uninstall alien just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just alien

convert and install rpm and other packagesDebian 9.0admin8.95
sudo apt-get remove alien

This will remove just the alien package itself.

Uninstall alien and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove alien

This will remove the alien package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for alien then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge alien

Or similarly, like this alien

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove alien
