How To Uninstall alliance On Debian 9

To uninstall alliance just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just alliance

VLSI CAD ToolsDebian 9.0electronics5.1.1-1.1+b1
sudo apt-get remove alliance

This will remove just the alliance package itself.

Uninstall alliance and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove alliance

This will remove the alliance package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for alliance then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge alliance

Or similarly, like this alliance

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove alliance
