How To Uninstall alsaplayer-xosd On Debian 9

To uninstall alsaplayer-xosd just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just alsaplayer-xosd

alsaplayer XOSD display moduleDebian 9.0sound0.99.81-2
sudo apt-get remove alsaplayer-xosd

This will remove just the alsaplayer-xosd package itself.

Uninstall alsaplayer-xosd and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove alsaplayer-xosd

This will remove the alsaplayer-xosd package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for alsaplayer-xosd then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge alsaplayer-xosd

Or similarly, like this alsaplayer-xosd

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove alsaplayer-xosd
