How To Uninstall alt-key On Debian 9

To uninstall alt-key just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just alt-key

tool to help developers improve keyboard acceleratorsDebian 9.0utils2.2.5-2+b1
sudo apt-get remove alt-key

This will remove just the alt-key package itself.

Uninstall alt-key and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove alt-key

This will remove the alt-key package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for alt-key then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge alt-key

Or similarly, like this alt-key

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove alt-key
