How To Uninstall amap-align On Debian 9

To uninstall amap-align just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just amap-align

linuxProtein multiple alignment by sequence annealingscience2.2-6
sudo apt-get remove amap-align

This will remove just the amap-align package itself.

Uninstall amap-align and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove amap-align

This will remove the amap-align package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for amap-align then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge amap-align

Or similarly, like this amap-align

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove amap-align
