How To Uninstall ansible On Debian 9

To uninstall ansible just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ansible

Configuration management, deployment, and task execution systemDebian 9.0admin2.2.1.0-2
sudo apt-get remove ansible

This will remove just the ansible package itself.

Uninstall ansible and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ansible

This will remove the ansible package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ansible then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ansible

Or similarly, like this ansible

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ansible
