How To Uninstall ant-optional-gcj On Debian 9

To uninstall ant-optional-gcj just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ant-optional-gcj

Java based build tool like make - optional libraries (GCJ)Debian 9.0java1.9.9-1
sudo apt-get remove ant-optional-gcj

This will remove just the ant-optional-gcj package itself.

Uninstall ant-optional-gcj and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ant-optional-gcj

This will remove the ant-optional-gcj package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ant-optional-gcj then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ant-optional-gcj

Or similarly, like this ant-optional-gcj

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ant-optional-gcj
