How To Uninstall apmd On Debian 9

To uninstall apmd just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just apmd

Utilities for Advanced Power Management (APM)Debian 9.0admin3.2.2-15+b2
sudo apt-get remove apmd

This will remove just the apmd package itself.

Uninstall apmd and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove apmd

This will remove the apmd package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for apmd then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge apmd

Or similarly, like this apmd

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove apmd
