How To Uninstall appdata-tools On Debian 9

To uninstall appdata-tools just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just appdata-tools

linuxTransitional dummy package (appdata-tools -> appstream-util)devel0.6.8-1
sudo apt-get remove appdata-tools

This will remove just the appdata-tools package itself.

Uninstall appdata-tools and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove appdata-tools

This will remove the appdata-tools package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for appdata-tools then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge appdata-tools

Or similarly, like this appdata-tools

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove appdata-tools
