How To Uninstall apt-cacher-ng On Debian 9

To uninstall apt-cacher-ng just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just apt-cacher-ng

caching proxy server for software repositoriesDebian 9.0net2-2
sudo apt-get remove apt-cacher-ng

This will remove just the apt-cacher-ng package itself.

Uninstall apt-cacher-ng and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove apt-cacher-ng

This will remove the apt-cacher-ng package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for apt-cacher-ng then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge apt-cacher-ng

Or similarly, like this apt-cacher-ng

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove apt-cacher-ng
