How To Uninstall apt-cacher On Debian 9

To uninstall apt-cacher just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just apt-cacher

Caching proxy server for Debian/Ubuntu software repositoriesDebian 9.0net1.7.13+deb9u1
sudo apt-get remove apt-cacher

This will remove just the apt-cacher package itself.

Uninstall apt-cacher and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove apt-cacher

This will remove the apt-cacher package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for apt-cacher then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge apt-cacher

Or similarly, like this apt-cacher

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove apt-cacher
