How To Uninstall apt-show-versions On Debian 9

To uninstall apt-show-versions just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just apt-show-versions

lists available package versions with distributionDebian 9.0admin0.22.7
sudo apt-get remove apt-show-versions

This will remove just the apt-show-versions package itself.

Uninstall apt-show-versions and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove apt-show-versions

This will remove the apt-show-versions package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for apt-show-versions then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge apt-show-versions

Or similarly, like this apt-show-versions

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove apt-show-versions
