How To Uninstall apticron On Debian 9

To uninstall apticron just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just apticron

linuxSimple tool to mail about pending package updatesadmin1.1.61
sudo apt-get remove apticron

This will remove just the apticron package itself.

Uninstall apticron and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove apticron

This will remove the apticron package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for apticron then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge apticron

Or similarly, like this apticron

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove apticron
