How To Uninstall ardour-i686 On Debian 9

To uninstall ardour-i686 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ardour-i686

transitional dummy package for (i686 optimized) ardourDebian 9.0sound1:5.5.0~dfsg-1
sudo apt-get remove ardour-i686

This will remove just the ardour-i686 package itself.

Uninstall ardour-i686 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ardour-i686

This will remove the ardour-i686 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ardour-i686 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ardour-i686

Or similarly, like this ardour-i686

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ardour-i686
