How To Uninstall ardour On Debian 9

To uninstall ardour just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ardour

the digital audio workstationDebian 9.0sound1:5.5.0~dfsg-1+b1
sudo apt-get remove ardour

This will remove just the ardour package itself.

Uninstall ardour and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ardour

This will remove the ardour package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ardour then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ardour

Or similarly, like this ardour

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ardour
